Ellie is driven by a burning vengeance for a heinous act, while Abby, a militia soldier, finds herself embroiled in a war between her faction and a religious sect.
Instead of banking solely on the previously explored universe, the game invites us to see the world through the eyes of Ellie and Abby-two women whose lives crisscross in a post-apocalyptic U.S. The game, a sequel set half a decade after its original 2013 release, not only extends the storyline but fundamentally elevates the entire genre.
Developed by Naughty Dog and rolled out by Sony Interactive Entertainment, “The Last of Us Part II” broke ground in 2020 as an action-adventure epic exclusive to PlayStation 4.
